When Airwalk Lost Its Cred
A Digital Rebirth: The Origins of Represent
Airwalk had a big problem. After a storied history as one of the key originators in skate culture in the 80s and 90s, by the 2000s, the brand was being sold in Payless Shoes for $20. No sponsored skaters, no events, no attachment to the culture that made them iconic.
We developed listening programs, sentiment analysis and reputation management campaigns spanning five years that helped Airwalk to win new consumers, Webby awards, and Industry Recognition, turning the brands reputation around, for a time. Airwalk had legendary skaters, good product, and enough digital buzz to salvage the brand.
Taking on BSL laws in four cities and winning one for the dogs
Pit Bull breeds in Aurora, CO were prohibet after a vote by Citizens in 2014. Because of this, thousands of dogs were in danger from being immediately euthanized if captured. Despite all science and data showing that breed is not a predictor of aggression, the breed had a reputation exacerbated by a media focus perpetuating myths that put these breeds in danger.
Represent was responsible for developing the public awareness and reputation management campaigns spanning 5 years and two law changes. One through the council through a direct communication campaign, and another by a vote of the people. Using data from our Efforts with clients such as National Dog Rescue Network, Morris Animal Foundation, and End Aurora BSL, we developed a social media campaign to drive public awareness for breed legislation issues which included influence campaigns, public awareness development, and legislative support in writing bills for eventual public review.

Finding Consensus in Colorado
Concensus for bipartisan solutions to fiscal policy challenges
Finding a consensus between voters on both sides of the aisle is among the most difficult communications challenges of our day. To support the amazing program developed by Building a Better Colorado, they turned to Represent. We created a full digital presence within a few short weeks, evolving social media and web education formats to help them tell their story.
This program toured Colorado, going to all counties with presentation, videos, and a curated guest list to balance political leanings, we helped tell the story of Colorado’s TABOR, Gallagher Amendment (now repealed), and Amendment 23.
Pawlorado – Advocating For Colorado Animals
Colorado has some of the most responsible animal welfare laws in the country, and Pawlorado was formed to encourage continued growth in the responsibility humans play in the wellbeing of the animals around us. From providing public relations and content support for shelters and animal groups in the state, to developing and promoting new legislation to improve upon Colorado’s amazing progress.
in 2025, the primary push is for the adoption of an animal cruelty database providing shelters with a resource to prevent adoption to known abusers. Additionally, we have developed a campaign to promote harsher penalties for known animal abusers as extenuating circumstances for additional penalty consideration in future judgements.
